A recount has confirmed Republican Rich Murray as the winner of a southern Minnesota House seat that had been held the past four years by Democrat Robin Brown.
Murray led Brown by 57 votes entering the recount. The Post-Bulletin of Rochester reports that the recount in Mower and Freeborn counties found no change.
It was one of three legislative races that went to recounts. On Monday, Democrat Carol Lewis conceded to Republican King Banaian after recount results gave her no path to victory for a St. Cloud area seat.
A recount was pending in the Northfield area, where Republican Kelby Woodard had a 31-vote lead on Democratic Rep. David Bly.
