GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers say Fan Fest is being canceled for the second straight year.
Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey tells the Green Bay Press-Gazette that the team wants to continue to evaluate the event's future.
Fan Fest started in 2005 in the Lambeau Field Atrium and gave fans a chance to interact with current and former players. The event was a quick sell-out in its first two years, but it didn't sell out in 2009 and 2010.
It was canceled last year partly due to the NFL lockout. This year, the change in the players' offseason schedule is one reason for the cancellation. Fan Fest has been held in March, when players traditionally began offseason workouts in Green Bay. But this year players won't report until mid-April.
