Red River expected to crest below flood stage

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- The National Weather Service predicts that the Red River will crest below minor flood stage on Monday, at 17.5 feet.
The Forum reports the river was at about 17.25 feet Sunday morning. Earlier National Weather Service forecasts called for the river to crest at 19 feet, a foot above minor flood stage.
The three previous spring floods all ranked in the top 10, including the record 2009 flood, which crested at 40.84 feet.
