ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Opponents of legalizing gay marriage in Minnesota are holding a rally at the Capitol.
The Thursday afternoon gathering is sponsored by Minnesota for Marriage. That's the group that supported the failed constitutional gay marriage ban last fall and is now trying to prevent the Legislature from making same-sex marriage legal.
More than a thousand supporters of gay marriage rallied at the Capitol last month. The House Civil Law Committee is scheduled to review the gay marriage bill next week, its first legislative hearing. Supporters say they hope to get the issue to House and Senate floor votes later this spring.
