MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The authorities say the victims of a shooting at an illegal after-hours club have been identified as a Minneapolis man and a Pennsylvania man.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office says 23-year-old Erick Felton of Harrisburg, Pa., and 32-year-old Demetrius Harper of Minneapolis died of multiple gunshot wounds early Friday.
Their deaths were ruled a homicide, and the police were investigating.
Up to 100 people were in the building when shots were fired about 3 a.m. Friday in north Minneapolis. Police say one man was found dead inside the building and the other was outside. Another man was injured.
City spokesman Matt Laible said the building had been operating as a club for some time in a neighborhood not zoned for clubs. Inspectors have issued at least three citations, including for illegally selling alcohol.
