The Red River in Fargo is beginning to recede.

The river peaked early Wednesday at an unofficial mark of 33.32 feet, which is more than 15 feet above flood stage. No structures in Fargo or Moorhead, Minn., were significantly affected.

The National Weather Service measured the river at 32.81 feet at 8:15 a.m. Thursday. The weather service says the Red should fall below major flood stage of 30 feet sometime Sunday.

Fargo officials are mapping out plans for sandbag pickup and cleanup.
