WASHINGTON - It's that time of year again when congressional campaigns have to report their fundraising in the past quarter. We've already covered the U.S. Senate race results and briefly mentioned U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann's results in a post yesterday. Rather than go through the results member by member, here's a chart showing the eight Minnesota U.S. House incumbents' fundraising, along with a measure of how much cash they have in the bank and their cumulative fundraising since the last election.

One significant pattern to discern from the data is that Republicans John Kline and Erik Paulsen have significantly stepped up their fundraising as compared to this point in 2011, while Democrats' fundraising has dropped off considerably. Kline, who's being targeted by Democrats this cycle, has raised about $150,000 more in this quarter than he had in 2011 while Paulsen brought in about $100,000 more.
N0n-incumbent candidates have already announced well ahead of next November's election, especially in the 6th District where Republicans are lining up to compete for the seat currently occupied by Bachmann, who will step down at the end of her term. Here are the fundraising results that are currently available, and, as is typically the case, challengers have raised far less than incumbents.
