A quick update on some eye opening changes in Monday night's late model runs.
I've already mentioned the chance of some light snow Thursday night into Friday, but the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Global Forecast System and North American Mesoscale Forecast System models have picked up on a deeper system that could lay down some accumulating snow Thursday night into Friday morning for much of Minnesota.
It's way too early to attempt to pinpoint totals, but there is a definite trend toward potentially shovelable, plowable snow moving into Minnesota, including the Twin Cities Thursday night.
Here's a quick look at the GFS notion of several inches of snow Thursday night into Friday.
I'll have more on what could be a potentially evolving snowfall for Minnesota on my Tuesday weather hits on MPR News and Updraft as the model runs come in. In the meantime, it might be a good idea to get the rest of the yard chores done Tuesday and Wednesday!
