A report out today has named ZIP code 55101 as the top hipster market for real estate in the country.

The website RealtyTrac has a list of the top 25 zip codes for real estate investors who may want to make some cash renting to the 25 to 34 year old age group. The report criteria included a disproportionately large segment of residents in that age group, considered prime hipster age. Other factors include walkability, ease of public transportation, and as far as we can tell, inexpensive investment property.

55101 happens to be where Minnesota Public Radio is headquartered here in downtown St. Paul. Our Nikki Tundel went out to photograph what was happening in the 55101 on the day it was named the top hipster town.

"It's not the hippest place. But it has potential.
"It's not the hippest place. But it has potential," said Kaylin Cameron, at the one of the food courts in the 55101 area. "It needs more bars and party places. Even if they had a bowling alley. Even that would help."
