Hennepin County authorities have charged a second teenager allegedly involved in robbing and beating former mayoral candidate Mark Andrew last week.
Andrew was sitting at a Mall of America Starbucks when a teen male grabbed his iPhone. As Andrew pursued him, two young women, one 17 and another 18, blocked him. According to a criminal complaint filed Monday, the 17-year-old beat Andrew on the head with a metal baton.
She's been charged with one count of planning and using force in the taking of personal property and one count of aiding the theft using a dangerous weapon.
The 18-year-old, Letaija Shapree Cutler-Cain, of Brooklyn Park, had her bail set Monday: $25,000 with conditions or $50,000 without conditions.
