An attorney for a teenager accused of planning to attack a school in Waseca is asking a judge to seal a journal that authorities say includes details about the boy's plot.
The Mankato Free Press reports that a judge will consider the request at a June 18 hearing.
The teen faces multiple charges in juvenile court. He was arrested in April after authorities say they found materials for making explosives, and a 180-page journal.
Defense attorney Dawn Johnson says she's concerned prosecutors will submit the journal as evidence during the hearing. She says in court documents that a significant part of the journal isn't relevant to the case.
A judge has already ordered that the teen be evaluated to see if he should be tried as an adult.
