Dan Wilson's career has migrated between solo work and group efforts, between songwriting and producing, between Minneapolis and Los Angeles. As a collaborator his hits include "Closing Time," with his band Semisonic, Taylor Swift's "Treacherous" and the Dixie Chicks' "Not Ready to Make Nice."
Now he's back to working under his own flag with his new album, "Love Without Fear." He started out writing the album on his own, and the songs reflect a sense of loneliness. But Wilson's collaborative nature got the best of him. Sara Bareilles, Natalie Maines and other artists contributed to the new project.
Wilson joins The Daily Circuit to talk about his new album and his high-profile career.
