Today's music is from 30 years ago today, when "What's Love Got To Do With It" by Tina Turner was the number one song on the U.S. pop charts. It was her first and only chart topper as a solo artist. It marked the peak of Turner's professional comeback after leaving her abusive husband and music partner Ike Turner. She won three 1985 Grammy Awards for the song: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. It is also the title of a film biography about her life.
