New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson in Minnesota next month.
Johnson’s campaign spokesman said Christie, who currently chairs the Republican Governors Association, will make the visit on Johnson’s behalf on Oct. 13.
Christie is scheduled to make two campaign appearances with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in Hudson today. Walker is in a tight re-election battle with Democrat Mary Burke.
Johnson is not appearing at either of the Hudson events and does not have any campaign appearances scheduled for today. By scheduling a visit exclusively for Johnson, the RGA is showing that it is still committed to helping Johnson unseat DFL Gov. Mark Dayton.
