The Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has been erupting continuously since 1983. Two years ago, the lava flow changed direction and now its path creeps toward the small town of Pahoa. Damage to homes and personal property has been minimal; however, the lava flow is oozing toward a main road, threatening to cut off the community.
