A senior executive from the Mall of America will lead preparations for the 2018 Super Bowl in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis' Super Bowl Host Committee announced Maureen Bausch's new job today. She is executive vice president of business development at the mall, where she has worked for 25 years.

The 2018 Super Bowl will be played in the new Vikings stadium, which is under construction and scheduled to be completed in 2016. The stadium is also in the running to host the NCAA Final Four. That decision will be announced tomorrow.
