Today's Morning Edition music is from Kay Starr with "Rock and Roll Waltz," which was No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart 60 years ago today.
It was the first song with "rock and roll" in the title to top the charts.
Starr had a long successful career before recording this song, her first after signing with RCA Records.
It's very different than her other hits, which were loud and boisterous or unrequited love songs.
Starr is 93 years old and still performing.
