My informal, unscientific poll of Minnesotans over a 30-year weather career tells me that 93 percent of us consider this the perfect weather.

Here's another angle from the Twin Cities National Weather Service.

Two waves of storms appear likely Friday. The first wave could be a severe squall line/bow echo racing east from the Dakotas early tomorrow morning. That line may fade to below severe limits as it approaches the metro.

The second wave should develop in the afternoon, and could be more cellular in nature.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's NAM 4 km model captures the trends.
