The third season of "Fargo" now has another face for the line-up: According to TVLine, actress Carrie Coon will play the female lead, opposite Ewan McGregor.
Coon, who is currently in Australia shooting the third and final season of "The Leftovers," will play the series-regular role of Gloria Burgle, a practical woman who grabs the fire extinguisher when the bacon catches fire and everyone else panics. Gloria is the chief of the Eden Valley police, and a newly divorced mother, who is struggling to understand this new world around her where people connect more intimately with their phones than the people right in front of them.

It was announced in May that McGregor would play a pair of brothers in the show. He will fill the role of both Emmit Stussy, the "parking lot king of Minnesota," and Ray Stussy, the less-successful and slightly resentful younger brother.
Further details about the third season of the Emmy-awarding show are slim. Creator Noah Hawley previously said it would be set in 2010, and he confirmed to the Aw Jeez podcast that it would take place in St. Cloud and Eden Valley, Minn. It is expected to air on FX next spring.
Sticklers for the authentic Minnesota accent will be disappointed to learn that Coon hails from Ohio, not Minnesota. She did, however, earn her M.F.A. at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Is that close enough for ya'?
It's a heckuva lot closer than McGregor's birthplace — Scotland.
