The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch, valid until 10 p.m. this Saturday evening, for much of northwestern and west-central Minnesota:
The primary severe weather threats in and close to the watch area will be very large hail (possibly up to 2.5 inches in diameter) and damaging wind gusts up to about 70 mph.
