The Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce has named a new president.
Jonathan Weinhagen, a vice president at the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, will take over the job next month.
The chamber has more than 1,000 business members from around the Twin Cities. It's one of the most prominent voices for business in Minnesota.
Interim Minneapolis chamber president John Stanoch says Weinhagen has a track record of helping the St. Paul chamber grow beyond just a membership organization.
"The chamber is leading engagement around a significant redevelopment opportunity, and also a wellness initiative. That has brought additional revenue in," Stanoch said. "He has attracted foundation funding to work on a diversity inclusion and professionals of color initiative."
Weinhagen succeeds Todd Klingel, who retired in June.
