A Grammy-winning opera singer lives in Minneapolis

Today's Morning Edition music is from "They Wish They Could Kill Me" from the Los Angeles Opera's production of "The Ghosts of Versailles."

On Sunday it won the Grammy Award for best opera recording.

The baritone you hear singing is Lucas Meachem. He and his wife moved to her hometown of Minneapolis in December.

Meachem performs with operas around the world. He'll be part of the Minnesota Opera's production "Thais" in the spring of 2018.
