President Trump is about to leave on his first trip abroad in office.
He'll visit Saudi Arabia, Israel, Brussels and the Vatican.
But his trip comes as he and his administration are embroiled in controversy following the firing of FBI director James Comey and revelations that he discussed secret intelligence with Russian officials.
MPR News host Kerri Miller spoke with former Obama foreign policy speechwriter Terence Szuplat and Kori Schake, former senior policy adviser to the McCain-Palin campaign.
They discussed Trump's first trip abroad, his "America First" foreign policy and the international fallout from controversy in the White House.
