Today's Morning Edition music is from "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2, which was No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart 30 years ago this week.
It was the second single from the "Joshua Tree" album to top the charts. Bono says the song was influenced by American gospel music and it includes several direct references to Jesus. He says it's an anthem of doubt more than faith.
U2's 30th anniversary Joshua Tree tour is coming to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sept. 8.
