Starting Wednesday morning, nonessential businesses are closed and residents must largely stay home in Wisconsin. That's by order of Democratic Gov. Tony Evers.
He’s following the lead of more than a dozen governors across the country who have taken similar action in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19.
But Evers is facing strong criticism from Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin who are worried about the economic impact of the decision.
