That tried and true weather saying could have been coined in Minnesota. Monday brought 97 degrees to several Minnesota locations. Tuesday featured heavy rains from Tropical Depression Cristobal. Wednesday brings an October like breeze and temperatures in the 50s north and 60s south.
Wind chills in the 50s in mid-June up north anyone?

Tropical Depression Cristobal delivered on the prediction of heavy rainfall for southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin.

A deluge of 4.51 inches of rain soaked Lanesboro, Minn. And 4.79 inches of rain fell just south of Winona, Minn.
Tuesday’s rainfall map shows two heavy rain zones. The swath of rain from Cristobal runs from eastern Iowa through southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin. A stalled cold front tot he west of the Twin Cities drove the other heavy rain corridor from southwest Minnesota to the Iron Range.
Rivers spike
The heavy rainfall spiked river levels in southeast Minnesota. The Root River at Houston rose nearly 6 feet Tuesday night!

Milder breezes return to Minnesota in the next few days. Highs in the 70s and sunshine return as we move into the weekend.
