It’s an all-or-nothing rainfall across Minnesota today.

Parts of central and northern Minnesota have picked up a good soaking. Heavy, multi-inch rainfall totals are reported in several locations.

Doppler radar storm total rainfall (top of post) shows a swath of heavy rainfall totals in excess of 1 inch running from I-90 in southern Minnesota to Cold Spring, Little Falls and Pequot Lakes. More than 2 inches have fallen in Eden Valley, St. James and Bird Island.

Here is a look at the list of the highest rainfall totals recorded in Minnesota. Many of these rainfall reports are from early Friday morning, so additional rain may have fallen in some areas.

Scattered rainfall lingers into Saturday

Our slow-moving low-pressure system lingers into Saturday. Some short-range models suggest a cluster of rain cells around the Twin Cities in the hours surrounding midnight. Scattered rains will persist through Saturday as the system gradually pulls eastward into Wisconsin.
