Muggy air and a disturbance will lead to a few showers and thunderstorms popping up late in the afternoon Wednesday into the evening. We’ll see cooler and drier air move in for Thursday and Friday.
Spotty storms develop Wednesday
There are spotty showers in northern and southwestern Minnesota Wednesday morning. We’ll see more spotty storms develop later in the afternoon and evening across north central Minnesota moving south and southeast into the overnight.
Most rainfall will be in northeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin into southeast Minnesota.
It will be muggy Wednesday with dew points in the 60s across southern Minnesota. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s south and already cooler, in the 70s, in far northern Minnesota.

Cooler Thursday and Friday
Some refreshing air moves in behind Wednesday’s disturbance for Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the 70s for most of the state Thursday to near 80 in the south.
Overnight lows Thursday night into early Friday will be cool. Most will see morning lows in the 50s with some 40s in northeast Minnesota.
We’ll have lots of sunshine Thursday afternoon into Friday after clearing out lingering clouds Thursday morning.
Potential for more rain this weekend
The weekend becomes unsettled again with a more potentially potent disturbance. Friday night will produce a few showers and thunderstorms with isolated activity during the day Friday. The better chance of more scattered storms develops Saturday night into Sunday.
