It will be cooler Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures near normal in the 50s south, 40s north. Overnights will be mainly in the 30s. Overall, we remain pretty dry with a warming trend heading into the weekend.
Increasing sunshine Tuesday, Wednesday
We’ll see lingering cloud cover gradually diminish Tuesday. Look for more sun in the afternoon compared to the morning hours.
High temperatures will be right near normal both Tuesday and Wednesday in the 50s south and 40s north. The normal high for the date ranges from 54 degrees in the Twin Cities to 47 in International Falls.

Temperatures trend back upward
After a few seasonable days, the temperatures trend back up above normal heading into the weekend and much of next week. Much of southern Minnesota could see highs back in the low 60s, which is a full 10 degrees above the normal.

Very dry weather continues
While we had several hours of very light rain Monday afternoon and evening, it didn’t amount to much. Most of us in the Twin Cities area measured it in hundredths of inches but southeastern Minnesota did see more significant rain.

Unfortunately, we remain overall in a very dry pattern through the week into next week yet. There’s the slightest chance of a few sprinkles Thursday mainly north and west.
