Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 40 degrees on Nov. 19. Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reported a temp of 23 degrees at 1 a.m. today, and temps have now fallen into the teens. We’ll probably see a Twin Cities daytime high in the upper teens or around 20.
Much of Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin will have daytime highs in the teens today, with some lower 20s in southeastern Minnesota and parts of west-central Wisconsin.
Winds and wind chill temps
Many areas will have winds of 18 to 28 mph today, with gusts to around 35 mph possible. There could be blowing snow in some open areas of Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Snow chances
A few stray flurries are possible in western Minnesota this Saturday morning. Eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see some scattered light snow showers this morning, then a passing flurry is possible this afternoon. Accumulating snow will continue in much of north-central and eastern Wisconsin this afternoon and evening.
Parts of north-central Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan will have lake-effect snow today and tonight, with several inches possible. Here are forecast snow amounts plus wind chill forecasts:
Areas of light snow could return to northwestern Minnesota Saturday evening, then spread across the remainder of northern Minnesota and parts of northwestern Wisconsin overnight Saturday night.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from 5 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday:
A few stray flurries are possible overnight to the south of the main snow band.
