Our Tuesday snowstorm is delivering on the promise of moderate to heavy snow bands setting up from southern Minnesota, the Twin Cities and much of eastern Minnesota all the way up the North Shore into northwestern Wisconsin.
Here are some select snowfall reports as of midday:
National Weather Service Duluth office, 1.6 inches at 12:21 p.m.
Burnett County, Wis., 2 inches at 11 a.m.
Bloomington, 2.4 inches at 11:01 a.m.
Highland Park, St. Paul, 3 inches at noon
Victoria, 3.5 inches as of 12:45 p.m.
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 3.8 inches as of noon
The heavier snowfall bands that have set up around Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and along Interstate 35 near Pine City, Minn., into northwestern Wisconsin are dropping around an inch per hour.
Snow will taper off from west to east across the Twin Cities and most of eastern Minnesota between about 4 p.m. and 6 pm.

Snowfall will linger into the evening along the North Shore and into northwestern Wisconsin. That will mean another 2 to 4 inches for many areas before the snow ends later Tuesday.
Winter storm warnings continue until 9 p.m. for most areas. Many of us will see storm total snowfall between 4 and 8 inches.
