Warmer Wednesday with light snow mainly north tonight
It’s not as cold early Wednesday morning and wind chill advisories are confined to mostly far northern Minnesota through the late morning. We’ll see high temperatures warm to a balmy nearly 20 degrees in southern Minnesota by afternoon with single digits north.

Light snow showers move through for mostly northern Minnesota Wednesday night ahead of a resurgence of frigid air that will briefly move through again for Thursday and Friday.

Briefly frigid again before warming up
Temperatures Thursday will drop back into the teens south and subzero north with a bitterly cold night Thursday night into early Friday. Temperatures will rival the lows we saw earlier this week with teens below zero south and twenties below zero north.

While potent, the cold will quickly depart by late Friday making way for a sustained and mild stretch this weekend into much of next week. Highs by Saturday will be in the 20s and even 30s.

The extended outlook looks milder as well. The 6-10 day outlook calls for above normal temperatures. Normal next week is in the mid to upper 20s south and upper teens north.
