It’s another cold morning. Afternoon highs will be warmer than Monday’s but still below normal. Many areas will see 40s on Wednesday before the next storm brings snow and rain Thursday.
Still cooler than normal Tuesday but warmer Wednesday
It’s another cold morning with many areas seeing single-digit temperatures early Tuesday, but it will be warmer Tuesday afternoon, mostly in the upper 20s to mid 30s and with more sunshine. The sun should stick around most of the day before clouds increase Wednesday.

Warmer air is set to move in for the next couple of days. High temperatures Wednesday will be in the 40s for most of the state and we’ll see highs in the low 40s still Thursday from the Twin Cities into southeast Minnesota.

Rain, snow develops Thursday into Friday
California is being slammed with another ”atmospheric river” event. That storm is headed towards the central U.S. Thursday into Friday. Rain and snow looks likely for most of Minnesota. There’s the potential for some heavy snowfall accumulation, but the track of that is still up in the air. Here’s an example of two different model forecast solutions with a south and north track and the impact on snow versus rain:
