One last summer-like day south; rain spreads east Friday into Saturday

The Twin Cities and points south and southeast will see another very warm day in the 80s and 70s. Northern and western Minnesota will see increased clouds and scattered showers with highs in the 60s, 50s and 40s northwest. Showers spread statewide overnight Friday night.

Last summer like day Friday with rain expanding

We’ve got another June or July-like day for the Twin Cities and much of southern Minnesota Friday. High temperatures will again be 20 to 30 degrees above normal.

Northern and western Minnesota will see more clouds and scattered showers during the day. By the evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms will start to expand east, especially into Friday night.

Statewide we can expect widespread scattered showers Friday night into Saturday night. The rain will likely mix with some pockets of snow as cold air works in late Saturday night into early Sunday.

It will also be windy Saturday from the northwest as the colder air blows in.

Colder but then warmer again

High temperatures by Sunday will only be in the 30s north to low 50s south.

Monday too will be cool but by Tuesday we’re back to seasonable or even slightly warmer than normal high temperatures with 60s south and 50s north.
