Severe thunderstorms produced high winds and damaging hail across central Minnesota and parts of the Twin Cities Friday afternoon.
The storms dropped hail as large as tennis balls in parts of Minneapolis.
There are also numerous reports of golf ball-sized hail and larger stones.
Here are some select storm reports from Friday.

2 ESE St. Paul [Ramsey Co, MN] ASOS reports Tstm Wnd Gst of M68 MPH at 5:49 PM CDT -- ASOS station KSTP St. Paul Dwtn AP.
6 S Dassel [Meeker Co, MN] Trained Spotter reports Hail of teacup size (M3.00 inch) at 4:48 PM CDT -- Hail measured 3.75 inches in diameter near Hwy 15. Submitted photo of hail with ruler via email. Damage to siding on west side of house.
2 SSW Minneapolis [Hennepin Co, MN] Public reports Hail of tennis ball size (M2.50 inch) at 5:50 PM CDT -- Picture next to baseball, slightly smaller, via twitter.
2 SW Minneapolis [Hennepin Co, MN] Public reports Hail of egg size (M2.00 inch) at 5:20 PM CDT -- Slightly larger than 2 inch hail reported via twitter.
Golden Valley [Hennepin Co, MN] Public reports Hail of egg size (E2.00 inch) at 5:18 PM CDT -- Picture via facebook comments, time estimated via radar.
Pierz [Morrison Co, MN] Amateur Radio reports Hail of egg size (M2.00 inch) at 2:46 PM CDT -- 2 to 2.25 inch hail in Pierz relayed via HAM in NWSChat.

Saturday’s weather will be much quieter. Highs will run in the 80s south and 70s north across Minnesota.
