The warming trend continues with highs in the low 30s across southern Minnesota Monday. It will be even warmer the rest of the week with the possibility of a wintry mix of precipitation on Thursday.
Mild weather continues
Monday will be warmer with highs in the low 30s across southern Minnesota to 20s in northern Minnesota. We’ll see brighter skies in the south with more clouds and light snow showers, flurries north.
Monday night will be mild, in the 20s and teens, closer to normal high temperatures.
Tuesday should see 30s become more widespread but clouds will also increase.

No big storms but some minor disturbances
A system will clip far southeastern Minnesota Tuesday with mainly the possibility of flurries and some patchy freezing drizzle. There could be some isolated areas of wintry mix near the North Shore, too.
A disturbance moves through late Wednesday into Thursday bringing the chance of a wintry mix of light freezing rain and snow showers, but it doesn’t look to be particularly significant.
Temperatures all the while will remain above normal, mostly in the 30s the rest of the week with 40s looking likely even early next week in southern Minnesota.

The eight to 14-day temperature outlook calls for a 90 percent chance of warmer-than-normal temperatures. Some models are forecasting potential record highs next week as we end January.
