Temperatures will be milder overnight after a warm Tuesday afternoon. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s south and west with 50s northeast. Thunder develops later Wednesday.
Mild overnight Tuesday night with muggier air and thunder returning Wednesday
Dew points are increasing tonight and after a warm Tuesday afternoon, overnight lows will be milder. Most of southern and western Minnesota will cool into just the low to mid 60s. Northeast Minnesota will see lows in the 50s.
Wednesday will see a return of dew points in the 60s after more than a week of drier, more comfortable air.
That moisture will be a key ingredient as the next disturbance moves in tomorrow. Scattered showers will develop in southwest Minnesota and slowly expand east. By evening and into the overnight Wednesday night, much of the state will see scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Ahead of the activity, highs will still be near 80 in eastern Minnesota Wednesday afternoon.
Rainfall could be over an inch for much of central and southern Minnesota into western Wisconsin into early Thursday.
There will be lingering instability Thursday and Friday afternoons with spotty pop-up, instability driven thunder possible. Temperatures will be cooler both days also with the increased cloud cover.
The weekend looks pretty nice with temperatures near normal and mostly dry conditions with increasing sunshine.
