Lingering scattered showers Friday, then decreasing clouds Saturday
Our system will be slowly moving out of Minnesota to the east Friday, but clouds, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to pinwheel counter-clockwise around the center Friday and into Friday night.
The system is looking to fully release its grasp on the state a little later than previously expected. Saturday will likely see a few lingering spotty showers, but they will be fewer and farther between than Friday. The best chances will be in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
The best chance for spotty showers Saturday will be in the morning hours across eastern Minnesota and southeast Minnesota in the afternoon.
We’ll also start Saturday with quite a few clouds and some patchy fog. Clouds should decrease slowly through day. Sunday will be sunnier and so will Monday and Tuesday.
Highs Saturday will be mostly in the upper 70s with the lingering cloud cover, but Sunday will be several degrees warmer, in the low to mid-80s across southern Minnesota as a result of sunnier skies.
The warm, dry weather with considerable sunshine should persist into Monday and Tuesday.
