We’re Doppler watching across Minnesota through Thursday.
A slow-moving cold front will slide through Minnesota by late Thursday. As it glides east, occasional showers and a few thunderstorms will roll in. I’m not super impressed with the severe weather risk, but a few storms late Thursday could reach severe limits. You can see the slight risk zone across eastern Minnesota at the top of this post.
NOAA’s latest (18Z) HRRR model shows a broken line of storms trying to form late Thursday afternoon from northeast Minnesota to near the Twin Cities.
Many forecast models have this line firing east of the Twin Cities, so we may miss out on storms and rainfall across the Twin Cities late Thursday. But it will be a close call.

Cooler next week
The weekend brings a chance for spotty storms. The best chance for widespread rainfall appears to be Sunday night and Monday.
Then cooler air pours south early next week. Highs in the 60s anyone?
Things will feel different as blue hues return to the weather maps next week. But there are signs we will warm back into the 80s late next week.
