Who’s ready for some sunshine?

Our weather pattern takes a turn for the sunnier as we move through Thursday and Friday. Our morning fog Wednesday gave way to some sunny peeks across parts of Minnesota.

Now we watch as high pressure builds in with mainly clear skies for the next couple of days.

On the map below, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Global Forecast System model low cloud output shows mainly clear skies across the Upper Midwest Thursday into Saturday morning.

Weekend shower chances

They say timing in life is everything. It would be good for most of us to schedule the rain during the week and have sunny weekends. But alas, into each life a little weekend rain must fall sometimes.

NOAA’s Global Forecast System model shows the next low-pressure system dragging scattered rain showers in tow Saturday into early Sunday:

Right now, drier weather looks likely early next week, with highs in the 50s.

NOAA’s outlooks continue to favor milder temperatures into mid-November.
