Another morning of dense fog will dissipate, paving the way for sunny skies Thursday. Gentle breezes with temperatures expected to reach the upper 40s, close to 50 degrees.
Dense fog advisory
A dense fog advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m. Thursday. Visibility will be significantly reduced, with some areas experiencing as little as one-quarter mile of visibility.
Unlike Wednesday, Thursday’s west-southwest winds will help clear the fog. Winds are expected to range from 5-15 mph across the eastern two-thirds of the state, with stronger gusts of 12-25 mph in northwestern Minnesota.
Temperatures for Thursday warm into the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

Weekend rain chances
A low pressure system will eject out of the Four Corners region and slide northward towards the Great Lakes region for the weekend. Rainfall totals are expected to stay under half an inch, with showers beginning late Saturday and ending by early Sunday.
The warmer temperature trend will continue into the weekend, with highs expected to reach the lower to mid-50s.
