In the wake of Wednesday’s rain, clouds will linger into Thursday. Sunshine returns for Friday along with milder temperatures. The active pattern continues with two systems ahead.
Lingering clouds Thursday then warmer and brighter tomorrow
Cloud cover will linger into much of Thursday, though there will be some breaks of brief sunshine, especially in southwest Minnesota this afternoon. Highs will be mostly in the 40s Thursday afternoon to near 50 in southwest Minnesota with light north winds at 4-10 mph.
Friday will be brighter and warmer. Highs will be in the 50s for most of central and southern Minnesota. Saturday will bring similar readings if not a couple degrees warmer.
A weekend system will graze northern Minnesota with a few rain and snow showers, though moisture doesn’t look particularly significant.
The bigger story is next week when colder air arrives midweek along with a potentially slow-moving storm system that will bring both rain and snow starting Monday night into potentially late in the week on and off. There are several possibilities with storm tracks and temperatures to determine rain or snow or both. As usual, stay tuned!
