Clouds, wind persist Thursday; some sun Friday
It’s a slippery and chilly start to Thursday. Windy conditions will persist as northwest winds continue to blow at 15-25 mph with higher gusts. That’s contributing to wind chills in the teens and 20s Thursday morning.
Highs Thursday afternoon will be near 40 degrees in eastern Minnesota while northwestern Minnesota remains below freezing.
Thursday will remain mostly cloudy with a sprinkle or flurry in northern Minnesota, although we will have some peeks of sunshine in the morning hours. Friday will finally yield more peeks of sunshine, especially in the afternoon, before clouds fill back in for the weekend.
High temperatures will be warmer by Sunday, at least briefly, in the 40s across southern Minnesota before colder air moves in for next week.
It looks like a chilly Thanksgiving with subfreezing highs nearly statewide.
