Persistent fog and cloud cover will linger through Sunday night into Monday morning with fog thickening in some areas and significantly reducing visibility. We’ll experience one last mild day before northwest winds gradually bring cooler temperatures as we head into the New Year.

As temperatures dip to around freezing there is potential for freezing fog to develop.

Temperatures remain mild for one more day Monday. Highs warm into the mid- to upper 30s, with 20s up north.

Southwest Minnesota will experience a brief impact from the next weather system, which will track across the Central Plains toward the Missouri River Valley. A rain/snow mix is possible, with little to no accumulation.

High pressure in the Canadian Provinces will keep Minnesota in a consistent northwest flow pattern all week. This will gradually cool us down every day until we hit the teens by Friday.
