We remain mild all week with an active pattern. A disturbance will develop rain and snow showers late Tuesday into early Wednesday with another chance Friday.

Mild again; rain, snow showers develop late Tuesday 

Tuesday will be very mild yet again, though a few degrees cooler than Monday. Highs will range from the 50s in southwestern Minnesota to the 30s north. We’ll start with sun but clouds increase Tuesday afternoon.

The second disturbance of four this week will develop rain showers in western Minnesota later Tuesday. Those showers will then track east Tuesday evening into the overnight and early Wednesday.

The rain will turn to snow in northeastern Minnesota. More snow showers are possible with another disturbance Wednesday night in northeastern Minnesota.

Most rainfall and snowfall amounts will be modest. The most likely area for more than one-tenth of an inch of rainfall will be in central Minnesota.

Up to 1 to 2 inches of total snow could fall in the northeastern Minnesota Tuesday night into early Thursday.

Temperatures will remain above freezing overnight Tuesday in southern Minnesota, so icy conditions won’t be too big of a concern but northern Minnesota will drop below freezing.

Wednesday will continue the mild pattern with highs again in the 30s and 40s, and we remain there the rest of the week. Southern Minnesota could be near 50 again Friday.

Friday will also bring the next system that could bring rain and potentially significant snow to northeastern Minnesota.
