After 20 months on the tarmac that followed two fatal crashes, Boeing's troubled airliner has been given the green light by the Federal Aviation Administration.
A fiery pileup crash involving nearly 30 vehicles along Interstate 94 in central Minnesota on Thursday morning sent nine people to local hospitals and closed a stretch of the freeway for hours.
Starting this week, would-be Minnesota drivers hoping to get a learner’s permit will be able to take the knowledge test online. The move is aimed at relieving the long lines and six- to eight-week wait times people are experiencing at exam stations across the state during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A pilot program on flights from San Francisco to Hawaii would give on-the-spot tests for the virus that causes COVID-19. Travelers who test negative would not be required to quarantine upon arrival.
