The largest and fastest growing wildfire in years is burning in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. It's about a mile away from the evacuation "trigger point" for the end of the Gunflint Trail.
The Cavity Lake Fire has grown to more than 23 square miles, closing several portages and entry points into the BWCA.
MPR's Perry Finelli spoke with Dave Seaton, owner of Hungry Jack Canoe Outfitters in Grand Marais, who is also a volunteer firefighter with the Gunflint Fire Department.
