Republican presidential candidate John McCain plans to make an appearance this afternoon at his St. Paul regional campaign headquarters.
The McCain campaign's regional communications director, Tom Steward, says the Arizona Senator will greet staff and volunteers.
"He's going to thank people who are in the office making signs and putting together literature and making the phone calls that really are the lifeblood of any campaign. So it's going to actually get people pretty revved up and pumped up in here too. We're all pretty excited about it," Steward said.
McCain's campaign office visit this afternoon is not open to the public. McCain will spend the night in the Twin Cities and then head to Hudson, Wisconsin tomorrow morning for a forum about economic challenges facing women in business.
McCain's campaign says it expects several hundred women in the audience. The forum is not open to the public.
