Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty will be back in New Hampshire and Iowa this week as part of his month-long tour to promote his book.
Among other stops in New Hampshire on Monday and Tuesday, Pawlenty will speak at what's-called a "Politics and Eggs" breakfast sponsored by the New England Council -- the nation's oldest regional business organization.
New England Council president Jim Brett said Pawlenty was invited to speak because many expect he will be among the 2012 GOP presidential contenders. Brett said all of top-tier candidates have been invited.
"And the first one to respond for the new calendar year 2011 would be Gov. Pawlenty, so we're excited having him," Brett said.
Brett said it is a wonderful opportunity for Pawlenty to introduce himself, to let people know who he is, what his beliefs are and what he'd like to do if he were to announce as a candidate.
Pawlenty will be promoting his book in Minnesota later this week. He'll then head to Ohio and Iowa over the weekend. Pawlenty has said he will likely end speculation about his presidential aspirations with an announcement in March or April.
