The Minnesota Gambling Control Board approved two more manufacturers to provide electronic pull-tabs for bars and restaurants around the state.

Supporters said having a single vendor for the last three months has hampered growth of the games, earmarked to pay for a new Vikings stadium. Taxes from the games are expected to pay about a third of the billion-dollar project's cost, but initial revenue has been coming in below projections.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission also voted Monday to allow the games at six bars inside Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

"We expect that if the test is successful, we'll have a lot more concessionaires in the future that will also want to introduce electronic pulltabs at their venues," said Pat Hogan, airport spokesman. "We'll see how it goes, and hopefully it will be very successful here."

So far, 88 locations have the electronic pull-tabs. Nearly 3,000 bars and restaurants are expected to be eligible to have the games.
